Daryn Strauss is a WRITERS GUILD AWARD winning writer, producer, director, and digital media pioneer who has won numerous awards on projects that have garnered over 250 million views for NBCUniversal, Sony Music, AOL, PBS, Digitas and more. She was the recipient of the 2016 WRITERS GUILD AWARD for Original New Media for Weight, her comedy about life after reality TV weight loss, which she created, wrote, and executive produced. She was previously nominated for a WRITERS GUILD AWARD for her web series Downsized, a dramedy which was recognized by numerous publications including the Los Angeles Times, Indiewire, Fast Company, and The Guardian as one of the best series on the web. She has worked on many other viral projects including the EMMY AWARD winning multi-platform series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (75 million+ views on YouTube), EMMY AWARD nominated MAKERS for AOL which aired on PBS and MAKERS.com (40 million+ views and a #1 trending topic on Twitter), and #DAYOFF, a social media take on Ferris Bueller’s Day Off for Vine and YouTube featuring internet stars Cameron Dallas, Nash Grier, and Lauren Giraldo for Astronauts Wanted/ Sony Music (3 million+ views). The series has been viewed more than half a million times online and was listed on Best of the Web lists from the Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, Indiewire, Boston Globe, Fast Company, and more. The series was also an Official Selection at the Cologne Conference in Germany and a special Best of YouTube pick.
