Johnny Depp & Andrew Heard did it. Drew Barrymore & Tom Green did it. Britney Spears did it. Kristen Stewart & Rob Pattinson did it. Hugh Hefner did it. All have fought for custody of their pets after a breakup. But pet custody battles are not just for the celebs. They are becoming more and more common, more and more expensive, and more and more outrageous! In the court system of most states, pets are treated as property-- like a lamp, literally-- so these battles get wild and emotional. AND EXPENSIVE.
In this comedic scripted series in the vein of Bad Teacher meets Dog Whisperer, an eccentric, brazen, and often foul-mouthed pet custody mediator provides an alternate solution to pet custody complications with a cost effective program to help couples who are breaking up, roommates who go separate ways, daughters moving out from mommy from completely messing up their pet’s life with their stupid human problems. This quirky pet loving mediator will work with a rotating cast of problematic guest stars and their beloved animals (from dogs to cats to snakes to anything in between) with zany exercises and relationship therapy as they figure out what’s best for their pet, who didn’t ask for any of their DRAMA.
Bethany Watson is an actor, writer, and producer who is originally from Wisconsin. (Yes, she’s too friendly to strangers and cheese is incredibly important to her.) She’s best known for her time as co-host on the nationally syndicated Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. She earned her degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota and trained at the famous Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. Bethany co-produced and stars as Jess in the web series “Labeled” (a comedic web series about the lower-level employees at a fictional record label) and co-produced its spin-off, “Anya Marina: Indie-pendent Woman.” Bethany recently wrapped filming “Lonely Hearts,” a Hitchcockian short in which she stars as Celeste, a slightly off-putting woman who is looking for connection. Bethany is also a voice-over artist who has been the live Voice of God at New York’s Global Citizen Festival, Rihanna’s Diamond Ball, the Grammy’s tribute to Elton John, and more. Bethany is passionate about creating and performing work that both entertains and creates a space for viewers - especially girls - to feel that they’re not alone in their eccentricities and struggles.
